Hula Hands Restaurant in Anchorage

Delightful little hole in the wall, delicious and large portion sizes. It's an awesome facsimile of a Kauai misube shack just off the beach, only it's in the middle of Alaska. 10/10 will be back. Probably tomorrow.

I really have to give them some credit for being generous with their portions. I ordered a take out from them and then when I opened it, I was pleasantly surprised with their generous portion. Here is my word of reprimand to any customer who finds reasons to complain when they receive a big portion: Don't ever complain when a restaurant gives you lots of food! Just be thankful and take it home for your next meal.

Easily worthy of a 5 star rating. Hula Hands knows how to feed people! Although it’s located smack dab in the middle of Mountain View and not Hawaii, one still gets a taste of the island upon entering the establishment. Potted tropical plants pop out throughout the place and island music is always playing. The staff are friendly and from what I’ve seen have all been Pacific Islanders! If you like Hawaiian barbecue and island flair, you’ll dig this little spot. I spent the entire winter of 2015 dining here for lunch and it never got old. Hula Hands for the win.

Top 3 favorite restaurants in Anchorage. This place serves up awesome portions of incredibly delicious food. I strongly recommend the plate combo with the kalua pig and pulehu chicken and an order of the spicy poke. Also, hands down the best mac salad ive ever had.

Nothing fancy. Great food! Good music. Good service. The pulled pork is amazing. Ive never tried anything that didn't have a home cooked flair. We love Hula Hands!

Forgot the pics. When the food came out we all dug. The combination plates of pulled pork and chicken were delicious. The beef was excellent. The loco moco with gravy was awesome. All servings are generous and the prices very reasonable. Try the desserts too, they are exceptional without being overly sweet. Service was friendly and fast. Definitely gonna be a regular here.

I lived out of state for a bit and would tell every one of the magical resturant "Hula Hands" and their life changing kalua pig and mac salad. I couldn't find ANYTHING like it where I lived. I even tried duplicating the recipe, with poor results. I decided that the experience needed to do whatever it is they do, is experience I may never have. So I moved back home (after a handful of years) and stopped by to satisfy my craving. And folks, I was not disappointed. The flavor, the texture and even the serving amount were all as I had remembered. It is edible bliss at a low cost. If you've read this far, why not go just a bit further and try it for yourself. It will be an amazing new experience! Worst case scenario, it isn't your cup of tea and you've learned something about yourself. Regardless, I've always left Hula Hands happy and I hope they never lose their special touch!

My order was taken efficiently, however was shorted, and no sauce provided, and they were not very busy. I wasn't satisfied with this visit.

We just moved from Hawaii earlier this year and this place feels like home. The food and friendly staff brings me back to the island. We will definitely be coming back again and again and again.

Dining in feels like a trip to the past - bright colors, good background music, classic diner style. Food is amazing- what I've had so far is the the steak pork and chicken.

Generous food portions. Great food. Waitress wore a ready smile and made sure we were taken care of. The sampler plate was wonderful. The chicken sandwhich was very satisfying with a good portion of fries.

Best Hawaiian food I have had off the islands. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Anchorage. The service and staff are phenomenal. I would recommend this place to everyone who loves Hawaiian food or hasn't tried it yet. Get the poke, musubi, and laulau

Paid over $70 for Lomi to go, and other food, treated rudely, the Lomi had 2 pieces of small fish and the rest is tomatoes?!? The rice is dry and so is the Chicken Katsu, very disappointed for the price, would not go here...

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere! Clean place, the food is delicious, and the staff is very nice. Being from Hawai'i this food definitely reminds me of home! Glad to have a taste of home and a little aloha in Alaska! Definitely recommend!

Can get busy and wait long when ordering during rush time. Other than that, food is tasty! Will miss eating this food once in a blue moon. The guard orders this a lot for ceremonies, I usually get a plate 50% of the time.

This is the friendliest restaurant in all of Anchorage. Food is delicious, portions are large and prices are affordable. This is our go to place now.

New hours get your orders in before 830p if your calling tried multiple calls to voicemail. Great food if you can get ahold of them or walk in I still recommend trying if you haven't yet.

All the food I've tasted so far, I loved all of it. So far my favorites are Lau Lau, Kahlua pig, kalbi ribs and definitely the house made Mac salad. They make all the sauces in house. The waiter and waitresses are all very polite and helpful. It's a great family atmosphere to take friends and family.

Great local spot, yummy Hawaiian food!

I grew up going to hula hands in Mt.View. I miss the old cooks from before they had the fire, but the new cooks are pretty good too. Sometimes the chicken is burnt, but I have never had an issue with the staff fixing the problem for me. They get super busy so it is understandable. Always friendly and understanding when there is an issue (usually there is no issue). The loyalty program is a good thing to join if your a frequent customer. Would totally recommend this place to anyone from out of town and in town.

If I can describe the food in one word I'm not sure there is one.....but FABULOUS comes close! This was actually the meal/food I requested for my Birthday Dinner when my family asked me what I wanted. The Pulehu Chicken, Teriyaki Beef and the OMG MANGO CHIFFION CAKE!!!!

Love this place. I've been going for over a decade now.

Tried to order something new from the website menu and I guess they didn't have much of what was showed on there. Placed a order maybe 50 minutes before closing and the lady seemed to be frustrated on the phone and in person. Other than that the food was good like always.
